Who we are
My name is Andre Achtermeier, and I am the President & CEO of eightM Corporation, an M&A advisory firm in Austin, TX. Our role is simple: we help a single, specific client find and approach businesses that could be a good long-term fit for an acquisition or succession solution.
We are not business brokers in the traditional sense. We do not run auctions, and we do not collect finder’s fees from business owners.
Who we represent
When we contact you, we are always acting on behalf of one client only, never a pool of buyers.
Our clients are Corporates (USA, Canada and Europe) and Private Equity backed platforms. All our clients have funds in place and can close a deal within 60 – 90 days.
That means:
(1) We are retained and paid by our client, not by you.
(2) We will never ask you to sign a finder’s fee agreement or pay us any kind of commission or success fee.
(3) We reach out to you only after alignment and approval from our client that your business appears to fit their strategy and criteria.
Our engagement with that client also gives them exclusive access to the companies we contact on their behalf. We do not simultaneously present your business to multiple other buyers behind the scenes.
Why you were contacted
If you heard from us, it is because we have done our homework and believe that:
Your company appears to match our client’s investment or succession criteria, and
Our client could be a serious, well-prepared counterparty for a confidential, no-obligation conversation.
At this stage, there is no commitment, no valuation, and no expectation beyond an initial exploratory discussion, if you are open to it.
How we work with you

Confidentiality and respect for your time – We understand how sensitive these topics are for owners, employees, and customers.
No pressure – You are always free to say “no,” “not now,” or “let’s talk later.”
Straightforward communication – We will be transparent about who our client is (subject to your comfort and confidentiality) and what they are looking for.
No fees, ever, from you – Our compensation comes from our client, not from you as the business owner.
If, after an initial call, you decide it’s not the right time or not the right fit, we fully respect that.
